Pupuk Indonesia Group Receives 16 Awards at PR Indonesia Award 2023
BALI - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) together with its subsidiaries managed to buy 16 awards at once at the "The 8th PR INDONESIA Awards (PRIA)" event in Denpasar, Bali, Friday (17/3). PRIA is one of the prestigious annual events in the field of communication and public relations held by PR Indonesia Magazine.
SVP Corporate Secretary of Pupuk Indonesia Wijaya Laksana said that from a total of 16 awards, Pupuk Indonesia itself received a total of five awards at once. Wijaya admitted that the company's communication aspect currently has an increasingly strategic role, especially in the era of digitalization and information disclosure.
Management, continued Wijaya, pays high attention to the company's communication aspect. Especially with the business transformation program by giving birth to many innovations to advance agriculture in Indonesia, compete in the global market, and support the green industry in the future.
The awards won by Pupuk Indonesia include Gold Winner in the PR Department Category, Silver Winner for Crisis Management in the Crisis and Post-crisis Sub-Category, and Bronze Winner for the CSR Sustainability Business Sub-Category in the Sustainability Business Sub-Category (Program D'composer). Pupuk Indonesia was also named the Most Popular Company in Print and Online Media 2022 Sub Category of Non-Tbk SOEs. For this achievement, Pupuk Indonesia was also chosen as the PR Department of the Year 2023.
"We thank all personnel of Pupuk Indonesia Group, as well as the communication ranks in the subsidiaries for their cooperation and hard work so as to get this appreciation. We will certainly continue to improve the quality of corporate communication, so that the public can get to know Pupuk Indonesia better, starting from its role, responsibilities, and contributions to society, nation and state," he said.
Meanwhile, a subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia also received an award. Among others, PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur was named together with PT Petrokimia Gresik as the Most Popular Company in Print and Online Media 2022 for the SOE Subsidiary Sub-Category. Next is PT Petrokimia Gresik which also won Gold Winner for the PR Department Category, Bronze Winner in the PR Program Category of Digital PR Employee Influencer Sub-Category, and PR Department of The Year for the SOE Subsidiary Sector.
Then PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek won the Silver Winner in the Digital Channel Category, Youtube Social Media Sub-Category, and three Bronze Winners, namely the Annual Report Category, Sustainability Report Sub-Category, Owned Media Category, Video Profile Sub-Category, Technology Application, and CSR Program Category, Community Based Development Sub-Category (Nanasku Village Program). Meanwhile, PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang managed to bring home the Silver Winner in the Digital Channel Category of the Website Sub-Category.
As the only comprehensive PR competition in Indonesia since 2016, PRIA is a barometer of communication performance. In 2023, as many as 836 entries participated in this competition. The assessment is judging-based, where the Jury consists of PR and CSR experts, PR consultants/agencies, figures from associations/PR organizations, senior journalists and photographers, design and branding experts, and social media experts.
Wijaya further added that this program can be a place to test the effectiveness of corporate communication programs. As well as a form of evaluation, because in the assessment process the company received a lot of input from the jury to improve the quality of communication programs in the future.
"We get a lot of input from this competition. In the future, Pupuk Indonesia's communication program will be packaged more innovatively.", concluded Wijaya.
