Pupuk Indonesia's Ramadan Safari: Sharing Goodness with the Surrounding Community

Karawang, March 16, 2024 - In anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan in 1445 Hijriah, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) conducted the Pupuk Indonesia Group's Ramadan Safari program. This program serves as a moment to share goodness with the communities surrounding the Company and is a collaboration between Pupuk Indonesia and its subsidiaries.

The first series of Pupuk Indonesia Group's Ramadan Safari was held in the area of PT Pupuk Kujang, West Java, on March 15-16, 2024. Many activities involving the surrounding community were conducted through the Environmental Social Responsibility (ESR) program, which included various activities such as a Ramadan charity market and other social activities.

"The development and growth of Pupuk Indonesia are inseparable from the support of the surrounding community. Therefore, through the Ramadan Safari program, Pupuk Indonesia Group aims to share goodness with the surrounding community through activities such as the charity market and other social initiatives, thus providing benefits and blessings to the community during the holy month of Ramadan," Rahmad expressed. The Ramadan charity market provided 2,100 voucher packages distributed to the surrounding community. Each voucher is valued at around Rp 80,000,- and can be used by the community to purchase essential goods provided, such as premium rice from Pupuk Indonesia Pangan (PIP) products. In addition to premium rice, the vouchers can also be used by the community to purchase cooking oil, white sugar, and packaged tea at affordable prices. The Ramadan Safari activities represent a good collaborative effort within the Pupuk Indonesia Group and with other state-owned enterprises such as IDFOOD and PTPN VIII. In addition to the charity market, the Pupuk Indonesia Group's Ramadan Safari also conducted a series of social programs, including the distribution of social assistance to the underprivileged and the elderly care home Tresna Werdha in Karawang. Another social activity included providing aid to the Yapinuri Foundation, an orphanage in Dawuan Barat, Cikampek. Moreover, during the Ramadan Safari activities, the Pupuk Indonesia Group provided assistance to the Nahrul Hayat Islamic Boarding School in Cikampek, West Java. This aid was collected from all employees of Pupuk Kujang coordinated by the Pupuk Kujang Workers' Union.
"We also conducted a series of social programs, where I was invited to visit the Tresna Werdha elderly care home and several other social institutions such as orphanages and so on. I believe this is important because it's a good activity. Today, Pupuk Kujang proves, Kujang Champion, Kujang helps and assists its surrounding community," Rahmad concluded.
