Jakarta, August 21, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting food security, including by promoting regeneration in the agriculture and food sectors through the 2026 Svarna Bhumi Award. The initiative serves as a platform to recognize food-sector changemakers who deliver innovation and tangible impact, while inspiring more people to contribute.

President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, said that the company’s role in supporting food security goes beyond ensuring the availability and affordability of fertilizers. It also encompasses the long-term sustainability of the agricultural sector, which requires a strong and innovative ecosystem supported by a new generation capable of responding to the evolving needs of the food sector.

“Pupuk Indonesia believes that the future of Indonesia’s food sector depends on the next generation continuing to innovate and create meaningful impact. Through the 2026 Svarna Bhumi Award, we want to highlight the contributions of our food heroes while showing the public that agriculture offers tremendous opportunities and a promising future. The stronger the ecosystem and its regeneration, the stronger the foundation of Indonesia’s food security will be,” Rahmad said.

Entering its fourth year since it was first held in 2023, the 2026 Svarna Bhumi Award is organized by Pupuk Indonesia in collaboration with BenihBaik.com and Kick Andy Metro TV under the theme **“Dedication to the Nation’s Food Security.”** The theme underscores the importance of collaboration among farmers, entrepreneurs, academics, innovators, and communities in strengthening food security.

The diversity of these contributions is also reflected in this year’s awards. Andy F. Noya, one of the judges of the 2026 Svarna Bhumi Award, commended Pupuk Indonesia for its consistent recognition of food-sector heroes. This year, awards were presented to five Food Heroes, one Special Achievement recipient, and one Satya Pangan Loka recipient, selected as the public’s choice for food hero. The number of finalists from younger generations and academia contributing to agricultural innovation in Indonesia has also continued to grow.

“What is particularly interesting this year is the growing number of young people who are boldly choosing agriculture as a field in which to build their careers and make an impact. They come with strong educational backgrounds, harness technology, and are even beginning to enter export markets. This gives us great hope for the regeneration of Indonesia’s agricultural sector,” Andy said.

In line with the spirit demonstrated by the finalists, Pupuk Indonesia continues to strengthen the agricultural ecosystem through various sustainability programs, ranging from agricultural education and farmer-group empowerment to support for irrigation access and mobile soil-testing services that promote more precise fertilizer application.

Going forward, Pupuk Indonesia will continue to expand cross-sector collaboration to encourage greater innovation while strengthening the role of the next generation in agriculture. With an increasingly robust ecosystem and broader participation, the company is confident that Indonesia’s national food security can continue to be strengthened sustainably.
